Last night’s pizza party was a great success.

So for those of you who don’t know me outside of Tumblr, I’ve now escaped the concrete clutches of Liverpool and am living in a caravan on my boyfriend’s parents’ farm in the Czech Republic.

Yesterday we went mushrooming, which is a big Czech tradition, and got these beauties. I’ve never seen so much tasty funghi in one place before. The big man hand in the last photo isn’t mine, by the way!

We plan to dry most of them and fry the rest up with butter and herbs and stuff our faces. Hooray!

Giant Uncle, part of Royal De Luxe’s Titanic Anniversary street theatre event which took part in Liverpool over this weekend. 

This guy came round the corner and rode past my flat on Friday, absolutely incredible. Unfortunately my sleeping pattern ruined my plans to watch today’s finale - in which Giant Uncle, Little Girl and Xolo the Dog congregate at the Albert Dock before sailing off down the Mersey in their own little boat. 

I love how French street theatre companies seem to be so attracted to Liverpool, what with this weekend-long production and La Princesse: the giant robot spider that roamed the city’s streets a couple of years ago (which I also missed due to sleep reasons and the fact I’m a massive idiot).

Frank and I baked this in the fire at Coldwater Hut, Nelson Lakes National Park. It contained raisins, banana chips, lemon rind, and probably other things that I’ve forgotten about. Delicious.

I’m forever grateful to the kind soul who left their bag of flour and yeast behind.
